Three Acts, One Great Concert: charity gig in aid of Sunshine Radio, 7.30pm 28 February
For one night only, on Friday February 28th, three great Island bands come together at the Apollo Theatre to make music in aid of St Mary’s Hospital’s Sunshine Radio.
The Hooleys are well known across the Island for their mix of Irish and country music; Rare Breed are a relatively new band in town – four experienced and talented musicians playing a range of music from the 1950’s through to the 80’s, while The Five O’Clock Shadows give the real essence of the 1960’s Shadows instrumentals, plus a few Cliff Richard songs thrown in for good measure.
Sunshine Radio, based at St Mary’s Hospital, provides entertainment not only for patients on the wards but via the internet to anyone who would like to tune in for a mix of music and talk radio with an Island vibe.
Tickets £10 each. Curtain up 7.30pm – and of course the Apollo Theatre has an excellent bar.
