Another chance to see David Tennant as Richard II!

More and more people on the Island are taking the opportunity to see the live screenings of National Theatre and RSC productions at the cinema, which are becoming increasingly popular.  If you missed the acclaimed RSC production of Richard II, with David Tennant in the title role, which was originally streamed in November 2013, or perhaps would like to see it again, come along to the Apollo Theatre – the Apollo Players, as members of the Little Theatre Guild, are being given a ‘one-off’ licence to show it on 24 September.  Tickets are £5 a head, payable on the door (not bad compared with about £16 at Cineworld!), and the theatre bar will be open.  Doors open at 6.00pm and the film will start at 7.00pm.  As we can’t do pre-booking for this one, do make sure you come early to secure your seat.  Please bring friends and anyone who would like to come along – this opportunity isn’t restricted to members.

Eagle-eyed readers of this website may have noticed that our planned Film Soc has not yet materialised.  However, the level of interest in this screening may well affect our plans in that regard.
